Vineet Mehrotra is the CEO of Cal Capital GmbH and has over 30 years of experience in the industry. He is based in Basel, Switzerland and was the CEO of Liveo Research AG, Switzerland (Liveo) from February 2018 till April 2020 and Director on the Liveo Supervisory Board from September 2010 till April 2020. Liveo is the second largest global producer of pharmaceutical blister packaging material, with plants in Germany, US, Italy and Singapore, supplying to the who`s who of big pharma globally.
The Adj. EBITDA of Liveo increased by over four times from 2010 (when the business was acquired) to 2019 (when it was sold to Private Equity). The singular focus during this period was “bottom-line growth” - wherein non-profitable businesses were exited, non-profitable sites shut down, procurement strengthened, operational efficiency improved and product mix changed to improve the overall profitability.
Vineet joined the Bilcare Research (the erstwhile parent company of Liveo) in 1998 and led the global acquisition drive of the Company. He helped acquire and divest companies across US, UK, Germany, Italy, Singapore and India.
Vineet also has significant experience in global fund raising, having raised over USD 500 million from global investors since 2005.
Prior to Bilcare Research, Vineet has had significant stints in private equity fund management, investment banking and manufacturing.
Vineet is a Science graduate from St. Xavier’s College, University of Calcutta, India and holds a post-graduate degree in Business Management with a major in Finance from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, India.

Dr. André Flammer held within the last 30 years several Human Resources management positions in reputable and international companies in the fast-moving food (MARS Inc), IT (XEROX) and financial services industry (ZURICH, BALOISE, HELVETIA) in Switzerland. Since 2016 André is President and owner of Hermes Executive Search, a Management Consulting Firm specialized on Board Appointments and Senior Management/Executive Functions. He is also the owner of ARF HR Advisory which focuses on onboarding, management audit and assessment.
André studied Social Sciences at the Universities of Basel and Zürich (Switzerland) and graduated in Psychology with a Ph.D. He attended several Management and Executive Education Programs at Harvard University, London Business School and several Leadership Programs within the companies he worked for.
LEADERSHIP

Vikas Mehrotra is Professor of Finance at the University of Alberta School of Business. Dr. Mehrotra has been a past-President of the Northern Finance Association and has served as an inaugural director on its board from 2013-2017. He has been a visiting professor at the Institute for Economic Research at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo and a Shimomura Fellow at the Research Institute at the Development Bank of Japan.
Dr. Mehrotra’s work deals with family business, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, ESG, and international financial markets, and has been published in leading finance journals such as The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Review of Financial Studies and The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. His work has been cited in the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, The Economist, National Public Radio (NYC), and the National Post. He is member of the Canadian Sustainable Finance Network.
Professor Mehrotra has a PhD (Finance) from the University of Oregon, USA, and a BTech (Chemical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology, India.

Michael Ryan resides in Charlottesville, Virginia. He most recently served as President and Managing Director Americas for Liveo Research Inc. from June 2018 to July 2019. Prior, Michael was a major contributor at Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) for 25 years in various regional and global executive and commercial leadership roles. Klöckner Pentaplast is a global rigid and flexible packaging company serving the pharmaceutical, medical device, food, beverage and card markets, amongst others.
At kp, Michael held various regional and global executive and commercial business leadership roles, including President of the Americas, VP of Sales and Marketing Americas, Group SVP of Packaging and Specialties Americas, Group SVP Global Labels, and Group SVP Global Specialties Film Division.
Michael drove profitability and top-line growth with his developed strengths in executive and commercial/marketing leadership, business strategy and execution, and price and product portfolio management. He was instrumental in leading kp’s efforts in sustainability and recycled-content films in the Americas. Michael has acquisition experience including target identification, acquisition strategy, commercial due diligence, and business integration.
Michael holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering and a BA degree in Economics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He also holds an Executive MBA from William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia.
